5. Performing exercises

On an empty stomach, you should not perform vigorous exercise. Instead of shedding fat, you’ll only burn muscle tissue, and that’s not what exercise is about. Moreover, you will end your training inactive because without food your body has no energy.

If you are fasting, try light aerobic exercise instead of vigorous exercise.

If you also have recurring digestive problems, it’s best to eat before doing any exercise as exercise stimulates the production of gastric acid, which is not good for an (empty) stomach.

6. Shopping for groceries

It is best not to do grocery shopping when you are hungry because then you will be buying more. For this reason, it’s best not to go to the store when your stomach is rumbling. It has been shown that when we feel hungry, we buy more food than we really need.
