Recipe # 1: citrus jam with honey

Honey and oranges - low-sugar citrus jam
Honey is a healthy ingredient that gives dishes a distinctive, sweet taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 large oranges
  • 3 or 4 tangerines
  • 200 ml of water
  • 400 g of honey
  • Cinnamon stick

Preparation

  • At the very beginning, wash all the fruit thoroughly.
  • Then peel the mandarins and oranges and put the peel of the fruit aside.
  • Then cut the fruit into small pieces.
  • Once done, put the mandarins and oranges and the peels off of them in the pot and pour in the water. Cook for about an hour.
  • After this time, remove the skins and blend to a homogeneous mixture until smooth and without lumps.
  • Then pour the mixture back into the pot and add honey and cinnamon to it.
  • Boil it all for another 15 minutes. Remember to mix all the time.
  • Set aside to cool. Only when the jam is cool will you be sure that it has the right thickness.
  • Pour the jam into jars and set aside to cool completely. After opening, you need to store them in the refrigerator.

Recipe # 2: citrus jam with stevia

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of oranges
  • Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of stevia
  • Cinnamon stick

Preparation

  • At the very beginning, wash the oranges and cut them into pieces. Thoroughly remove all pips and white parts. Put the skin aside.
  • Then squeeze the oranges and simmer the juice over low heat for about 40 minutes.
  • Meanwhile,  squeeze the lemon and combine its juice with the stevia and orange zest.
  • Then add the lemon juice, stevia, and orange peel mixture to the orange juice pot. Cook it for another 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and blend the mixture (except for the orange peel).
  • Pour the jam into jars.
  • When it cools down, you can start eating it !
